ABOUT DAYNA

Dayna Hodge Lynch (she/they) is a Black poet from North Carolina. Dayna received her B.A. in English, a minor in African and African-American Studies at Loyola University of New Orleans, their MFA from Queens University of Charlotte, and a MLS from North Carolina Central University. Dayna studied in Aotearoa (New Zealand). Her work can be found in Rattle, Kissing Dynamite, Rappahannock Review, Potomac Review, Bitchin’ Kitsch, NZ’s Tarot, WILDsound, and Across the Margin. The poet was a 2021 finalist for the Rattle Poetry Prize. Also in 2021, the writer was a finalist for the “Miss Sarah” Trillium Arts Fellowship. Dayna enjoys libraries, mangoes, and penguins.
